Ferment bold, expressive wines with Lalvin ICV-K1 (116B) Yeast – 5g, a vigorous and reliable strain favored for fruit wines, mead, and high-alcohol fermentations. Originally developed by the Institute Coopératif du Vin in Montpellier, France, K1-116B is known for its clean fermentation profile, strong fermentation kinetics, and ability to retain delicate fruit aromas.
This strain is excellent for restarting stuck fermentations, handling stressful musts, and fermenting at cooler temperatures. It’s particularly useful for country wines, ciders, and late-harvest styles where flavour preservation is key.
