This Elderberry syrup is extremely high in Vitamin C which is vital to fight off unwanted colds and flu symptoms. Bioflavonoids and other proteins in the juice destroy the ability of cold and flu viruses to infect a cell. Laboratory studies have also shown that elder extracts act as anti-virals, inhibiting replication of flu and other viruses. Human studies have been found to decrease the duration of cold and flu symptoms.

This syrup also contains other herbs that compliment the Elderberries. Rosehips contain the highest Vitamin C content than any other herb. Hibiscus is also high in Vitamin C and provides a great flavour for the syrup. Ginger and Echinacea are well known herbs in various cold and flu remedies so they make a great addition to this syrup. Cloves are commonly used as a spice but have anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Can be made into gummies, frozen into ice cubes or added to popsicles, added to hot water for tea or taken straight up!

Dose is 1tbsp per day for adults and 1tsp for kids under 12 and up to every hour during symptoms of illness.
